What Needed Solving?
Families, elderly parents, and solo travelers often want peace of mind that their loved ones are reachable and safe, but traditional family-safety apps rely on invasive 24/7 GPS location tracking and ad-heavy SDKs that violate personal privacy.
How We Built It
We engineered and published SilentNod on Google Play around a strict zero-GPS privacy architecture. Using secure one-time consent pairing codes and Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) telemetry, contacts can see whether a phone is simply out of battery, charging, or offline, send discreet one-tap 'I'm OK' nods, and trigger high-decibel emergency SOS sirens when needed—completely ad-free.
